Shell Design in Knitting #15

This lovely knitted sample is much easier to knit than it looks. It's a 12 row repeat but you soon learn to read your knitting and not have to follow a pattern. It's called a shell design but reminds me of ferns. You can find the pattern and chart on my website

Shell Design
Hey Cindy! I love your lace designs...they are really beautiful and well thought out. One day I'll get to try my hand at lace!

Cindy, I think this is the prettiest one you've done so far. Really nice.

Lace designs
Hi Cindy! I was knitting an afghan out of some yard sale acrylic, just for warmth in our drafty old house, and decided to use the Fancy Shell stripe, which is really easy to follow (I've knitted for years but not a lot of lace).

The new design looks like a great choice for a shawl.

Re: Lace designs
Keep me posted on the afghan. I'd love to show a photo of it on my blog either in progress or when it's finished or both!

New design: Shell #15
Oooooo - I really like this one. Sort of "ferns in the wind". Thank you!

Ferns in the Wind — I was also thinking ferns but I really like your title. We may have to seriously rename all these soon.

Lovely!
This one is really pretty Cindy. I'm wondering what the sides and bottom edges look like, are they wavy? I wonder if they can be controlled with a narrow border or might it need a wider one?

Re: Lovely!
The sides are straight but the bottom is a problem. It actually goes from a point on the bottom right and scallops up the left. I'm sure a lace designer would know how to use this to an advantage, but I'm not sure what to do with it.

I really like that one! I do believe it will go in my to do pile. Are these on Ravelry yet so I can add it to my queue?

Great job! Thank you!!!!!
