Living in Florida, you wouldn't think I'd ever need ear warmers.
But my ears get awfully cold on chilly 40° mornings.
I've tried all sort of things under my helmet but until I found this pattern by Briney Deep Designs, nothing worked very well.

The ear warmers actually slip onto the helmet straps and do not interfere with the functionality of the helmet in any way.
I used the magic loop method instead of double points and made the actual band that goes across my head narrower because I was afraid of running out of yarn.
For optimal warmth and wicking, they are knit from 100% wool.
As you can see, a neat little head band that goes across the top of the head and under the helmet holds everything in place.
I've worn them twice and really love them.
