I made these booties and hat for a friends new granddaughter who will be arriving any minute now. This is the Saartje Bootie. 
I had the buttons on hand and they reminded me of Elizabeth Zimmerman's Heart Hat from Knitting Workbook so I had to make it too to go with the booties. | I knitted these booties for my grandson, Isaiah, who was born last week. I got the pattern from another Live Journal Blog! |
