Here's Charlene Schurch and I January Spin-In in Desdin, FL the end of January.
She was kind enough to autograph two of her books for me — Hats On and
Sensational Knitted Socks. I don't have More Sensational Knitted Socks (yet) but am
lusting after it.

Spin-In is a lot of fun and a great learning opportunity. Last year I picked up a lot of
great spinning tips. This year I learned how to card with a drum carder. I even bought
a Strauch drum carder from Suzanne of Fire Ant Ranch. More on that later when I
start making some sensational batts!

Now this may look like a lovely carded batt, but it's actually Suzanne's hair.














Here are some of the batts Rosemary, Alison, Tina and I carded while we were there. That's mine in the lower right hand corner and here's the yarn I spun from this batt. Not bad. Thanks Gale — you are such an enabler!
